Proving Stupidity is Contagious!

Browsing Posts published in August, 2013

This topic really has my blood boiling! Today in 60 cities Fast Food Workers at places such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Taco Bell, to name a few, took to the picket lines, What are they fighting for? Better wages. Great! What is the wage they are seeking? $15 an hour! $15 an hour!? You have to be kidding me.

Is there anything wrong with working at a place like McDonald’s? Absolutely not as your man KnowItAll actually worked at McDonald’s, granted I was 15 at the time. However, $15 an hour for the skill of being able to put French fries, a burger, some condiments and a soda into a paper bag and saying “Thank you, please come again” does not warrant a wage of $15 an hour! Sorry but if you are trying to support a family on minimum wage you should be hit in the back of the head with a shovel and put out of your misery.

If your working skills only allow you to work at a fast food join you should not be procreating. Buy a damn condom instead of bringing 7 lives into the world that you can’t support let alone provide a better future for. For all that is wrong with the U.S.A., as far as I’m concerned, this is the greatest country in the world and will always be the land of opportunity. The problem is that most who are born and raised here feel entitled. They want success to be handed to them and hate on those who are successful rather than take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves what they can do to change themselves in order to become a success themselves. Few want to work hard, put in the effort to be successful, fall down, get back up and keep pushing forward. Many rather bitch and moan about their circumstances than to do anything about their situations.

So here we are today with fast food workers crying about their wages and screaming for $15 an hour. Hell no, there is no way in hell that a dude at Burger King deserves to be paid on par with a Dental Assistant. If fast food workers want $15 an hour, get out of the industry, get yourself together and get a better job.
Stupidity at it’s finest ladies and gentleman!

I was on Craigslist last week looking at small business ads as I do from time to time and came across something that had me rubbing my eyes in disbelief. Get Paid to Watch T.V. and It’s FREE!

If there is one thing I love doing it’s watching TV so I quickly clicked on the link and was brought to GiantCinema.com

Other than the above YouTube video on the actual website I couldn’t find much information on the company. Nothing much on FaceBook but I did find a Twitter account. I ran the company through Google and the only thing I could find other than the company website was a case study written by Harvard in 2003. Then again I didn’t know if the case study was about GiantCinema or another company of the same name. However I was able to find a LinkedIn profile for Chris Monks who is on the website as a co-founder.

Considering I couldn’t find much information on the company I decided to do what any anal retentive a-hole would do, I sent a condescending message, as only I can, through the site. Shockingly the very next day I received a reply from Ross Callen who is the co-owner and Chief Executive “Spud.” To my surprise he agreed 100% with what I had to say which left me in a semi state of shock. I didn’t like the fact that there was no back end system up. How in the world would I be able to track my progress without any sort of statistics or system in place?

I left it alone for a few weeks but for some reason I couldn’t get GiantCinema out of my mind. How often does a person have a chance to get in on the ground floor of a company at ZERO COST!? What if this thing really took off and I missed out knowing that I could have made a fortune. What if I was watching CNBC two years from now talking about Giant Cinema turned from start-up to multi million dollar company making thousands of people wealthy in the process?

Late last week I received an email from Allen who is in charge of marketing. We went back on forth via email for a while until he asked if we could speak on the phone. I gave him my cell phone number and a half hour later I began a rather lengthy conversation about my hesitancy, the company and what the future could hold. Without getting into specifics I felt that the opportunity was just too good to pass up and decided to jump on board. After all it’s 100% free and as such the only thing that I could lose is time. No back end system but at least I receive an email whenever anyone signs up.

Here’s how it works:

Once you sign up you are provided with an affiliate link in which you are to use to sign people up. Each person that signs up is an account for you. For each account referred to Giant Cinema you will earn a 10% commission on the commercials that run during the movies and shows they are watching through the platform. I won’t get into earnings potential as Giant Cinema does not condone it which I can respect.

What I can tell you is that GiantCinema.com is super easy to promote. In fact I’ve been marketing for a grand total of 6 days I have 124 accounts or as they like to call them “spuds.” The best thing is that I’ve signed up these accounts for FREE! If Giant Cinema gets off the ground the way I think it will, there are going to be a lot of people who can earn a ridiculous living.

If you’re wondering if GiantCinema.com is a MLM company it’s not. It’s simply a referral based program. You lose absolutely nothing by signing up with GiantCinema.com so just do it.

At this point in time you should have your niche and your domain name picked out. As I used GoDaddy.com for my needs this lesson will show you how to get your WordPress blog set up through GoDaddy. Read this entire article before you purchase anything.

Step #1 – Register Your Domain Name

Domain names are, for the most part inexpensive. If you are serious about blogging for money online you will need to register your domain name for a minimum of 2 years. Don’t worry, a 2 year domain registration will not break the bank and should cost you around $14.

Step #2 – Open a Linux Hosting Account

You don’t need a dedicated server. A shared hosting account will serve your needs just fine at this point in time. Also, you will be much better served with a Deluxe Hosting Account than an Economy Plan as you get unlimited disk space and can create as many websites as you like for only an extra $.50 cents per month. Best of all when you open your hosting account through GoDaddy you get a free domain name which will save you a few dollars. If you’re on a tight budget get a one year hosting account for about $59.

The Power of the Penguin – World-Class Linux Hosting from GoDaddy.com

It’s going to take a day or so for your domain name and hosting account to get setup but it can sometimes happen in the same day of purchase. However, at this point don’t lose your mind. Have a little patience, go about your day and log into your account the following day to find out if you are good to go.

Step #3 – Getting WordPress Installed on Your Hosting Account

Thankfully you won’t have to lose your mind on a manual installation of WordPress as with you have WordPress installed on your GoDaddy hosting account with a few simple steps.

1. Log into your Account Manager.
2. Click Web Hosting.
3. Click Launch located next to your hosting account.
4. Go to the Popular Apps menu and select WordPress.
5. Click on WordPress.
6. Click Install Now
7. Select the domain name you picked for your blog.
8. Enter a database description and password, click Next
9. You want to have WordPress installed in the root of your directory so when a person goes to your domain name example.com they will be taken to your blog as opposed to having WordPress installed in a directory like example.com/blog. Make sure that when you are installing WordPress the directory appears as example.com and not example.com/blog or example.com/wordpress. Make sure to delete any text after your domain name so it will show as example.com.
10. Enter the Admin Name, Admin Password, Email and Blog Title for your WordPress installation.
11. Click Finsh

It will take GoDaddy around 24 hours to complete the installation. You will receive an email notification that the WordPress installation is complete.

Congratulations you are now step closer to Blogging for money!

Perhaps its the fact that I’m on vacation right now or the fact that I have 6 beers in me. Either way the below just oh so pissed me off.

FUCK! You would think that someone in San Jose, California would have a better grasp of the English Language. Hey douchebag, considering you seem to post these sort of comments all over the damn net here’s a grammar lesson!

“Fantastic write-up. I came across your blog doing a search for LGBT and was pleased with what I found. I find this information to be useful. My partner and I love to find useful information on blogs such as yours. I look forward to your future posts. Thank you so much for this post and all the best.”

Edward Snowden is accused of Espionage, specifically the Theft of Government Property, Unauthorized Communication of National Defense Information and Willful Communication of Classified Communications Information to an Unauthorized Person.

KnowItAll says “Fuck all that bullshit! Thank you Edward Snowden!!!” Here we have an American Citizen that did that the right thing and blew the whistle on the U.S. government’s intrusion into our 4th Amendment rights yet he is being vilified by the media as a traitor!
I get it because of the unconstitutional Patriot Act and the fact that Edward Snowden was contracted by a contractor of NSA and leaked information to the Guardian we the people should forget that the U.S. government can give a rat’s ass about the constitution….you know the rights we are afforded as citizens of this country.

Public sentiment is leaning towards feelings that Eric Snowden did the wrong thing but of course this has everything to do with stupidity being contagious than anything else. NSA spin control states that 50 terrorist plots were foiled due to NSA programs such as Prism and the citizens of this county feel that Snowden did the wrong thing as a result. You have to be kidding me!

Hey NSA, 50 terrorist plots were foiled? If that is indeed the case then there should be no problem in identifying exactly what those terrorist plots were, who was involved, who was arrested, who was charged with what and when those people involved of those 50 terrorist plots are scheduled for trial or better yet who plead guilty to what in order to avoid trial!!!!!!! Of course know when is demanding any of the above but the NSA stating the 50 terrorist plots were foiled seems to be good enough for the majority of people.

Here is what disturbs me about the NSA programs; I am doing nothing illegal. I wake up each morning, go to work, use my email, use my cell phone and use Google to search for whatever I’m searching for. The NSA, in breach of my 4th Amendment rights, collects all this data in order to “foil” a terrorist plot without a search warrant. I have conversation with a co-worker about how I would like to blow up my company using 800 tons of TNT and presto I’m now a terror suspect because some dumb ass at the NSA decides to open a file?

This terrorist scare bullshit has gone way too far. In the name of national security should the U.S. be allowed to do whatever they feel necessary to “foil” terrorist plots? Fuck, worked really well in Boston didn’t it?! Yeah 50 unnamed terrorist plots were foiled yet the one that managed to injury hundreds and take the lives of innocent children goes undetected. Fucking brilliant!!!!!!!!

Edward Snowden was privy to information, provided that information to the press and blew the whistle on the U.S. government crapping all over our rights yet I am to feel that Edward Snowden is a traitor? He may be a traitor as far as the U.S. Government is concerned but is far from a traitor to the citizens of the United States of America. Yes this citizen of the United States, land of the free, needed to attain asylum from Russia! Russia!!! RUSSIA!!!!!

“KnowItAll, he told China the U.S. was hacking or attempting to hack their networks!!” So fucking what? Was he not telling the truth? Was he attempting to sell classified information to China? Did he place a price tag of $25 million on that fact? NO HE DIDN’T!!!!!
You may very well be one of the many that feel that Edward Snowden did something wrong by alerting us to the government’s actions. If that is the case then I would infer that you would have no problem had President Obama came out and state the following:

“My fellow Americans, in the name of National Security I have authorized the NSA to gather information on your cell phone calls, capture data related to your internet searches and provide them, the NSA, with the ability to capture your email communications. Should you send a text message know that we will be capturing that message in the hope that it could possibly allow us to foil a terrorist plot. You may feel that this is an infringement on your constitutional rights but rest assured that these measures are necessary to avoid the next 9-11 although these measures could not prevent the events of the Boston Marathon.”

If you don’t have a problem with the above you must be mentally challenged (i.e. RETARDED) In fact you shouldn’t have issue with any of the following measures necessary to prevent future terrorist attacks:

1. National I.D. Card.
2. Lo-Jack tracking. The government will need to GPS track you by inserting a Lo-Jack into your asshole! At least they will use lubrication.
3. Voice recognition software in order to use your home telephone and cellphone in order to make or receive a call.
4. Permission to leave your state in order to enter another state. Failure to file the necessary forms will result in a fine and/or imprisonment as your Lo-Jack will allow the government to know that you have left your home state without permission.

The bottom line is that according to the government Edward Snowden did something wrong. However, if you have an ounce of intelligence you should realize that the man deserves to be thanked. That is unless you like having your constitutional rights violated.

The first thing you need to know about blogging for money is not to fall for any off the many bullshit scams you see advertised online. For example:

For How Much?

Since that’s out of the way you need to understand one very important fact. Blogging for money is not easy! It’s going to take hard work, time and most important patience. It would be great to simply create a blog, create a few posts and receive thousands of visitors but if it were that easy more than 2% of people who attempt to make money online from blogging would succeed.

Before I get into using WordPress, plug-ins and search engine optimization (Future lessons that will be posted here.) the most important thing you need to think about is what is your blog going to be about? If you’re stumped right now simply think about what it is that you know best. For example, if you’re a mortgage broker perhaps you would want to create a blog about homeownership, how to qualify for a home purchase or how to refinance your mortgage. What I’m getting at is that you need a niche. Something that your blog will become known for as a go to resource for whatever your niche will be.

STEP 1 – Select your niche!

If you don’t have a niche jut yet take some time to think about. If you do have a niche or a niche that you’ve already decided on don’t get too excited just yet. The next thing you have to do before anything else is find out how competitive your niche is. If you hadn’t thought of this just yet don’t feel bad. In my opinion this is where the majority of people get tripped up. A person has a niche, registers a domain name, opens a hosting account and starts blogging only to realize some time later that their niche is saturated and that there are a handful of blogs that dominate that niche. Whatever the niche is that you’ve decided on go to Google Search and type in a few keywords that you would type if you were searching for your niche. For example, if you’re niche is how to save money on household expenses you may want to go to Google and search for ‘how to save money on groceries.’ Look at how many web pages are indexed under that search term and visit the first five sites under the search term. This is not to say that you’re blog cannot be successful in a competitive niche, it just means that you will have to work much harder and it will take you more time to achieve your search rankings.

STEP 2 – Know your competition!

You now have a niche and know what your competition is doing. You feel comfortable and are ready to move on. Your next step is to decide on a domain name. Of course you can always get a free WordPress blog at WordPress.com but if you’re serious about making a go at making money online by blogging you NEED to register your own domain name. Your own domain name will allow you to brand your blog and hosting your blog on your own web hosting account will provide you with the maximum amount of control over your blog. It used to be that you could simply register a domain name and rank number 1 for that keyword in Google. For example my blog used to be ranked #1 on Google for ‘stupidity is contagious’ but now sits ranked at #6. Google is not giving a massive amount of weight to the domain name anymore but does give some weight. Either way, finding a domain name that is centered on your niche is not 100% necessary. Keep in mind that .com domain names with common terms are difficult to come by. People register these domain names and attempt to sell them at a premium price but there is no need to go that route. For example, some time ago I was thinking about creating a blog with a niche of visiting new york city. Yes, it is a saturated market but I know that if I had chosen to enter that niche I could have a successful money making blog. When I started researching domain names the obvious choices were taken but I decided on an available domain name that would have ranked well regardless. IdealVisitNewYorkCity.com! The most important thing was that I had “visit new york city” in the domain name and I could have used the word “ideal” to separate my blog for the rest. I decided against creating that blog as I didn’t have the time and still don’t for that matter. Take your time when deciding on a domain name and make sure you run the domain name by a few friends and family members. Of course I’m here to help as well so if you want to run your niche and domain name by me simply contact me through the contact form on this blog and I will give you my honest advice.

Step 3 – Select your domain name!
